Dates and times may vary, keep an eye here for the most recent up to date information. We can't wait to see you there!

Sunday 24 November, 10.00 am - 12.00 pm 'Honey on Toast' beekeeping workshop

Join the beekeeping workshop ran by local bee keeper Michael Backhurst. Did you know that there are about 26 species of bee in NZ? Learn about the different species, where to find them and how you can help provide food and shelter for them. Enjoy some honey on toast for morning tea and make a bees wax wrapper while you're there too!

Saturday 1 December, 11.00 am - 1.00 pm Create a berm wonderland! The 'How To' with Eco-Neighbourhoods

Join the Ōwairaka Eco-Neighbourhood group for a free shared berm garden workshop. Presented by gardening expert Judy Keer from The Compost Collective and Kelmana Gardens. Learn about easy berm gardens, wild flower berm gardens, how to rid yourself of the tyranny of grass and absolutely everything you need to know to transform your berm into a bee and butterfly (or foodie) wonderland. Free seeds to take away to get you started. Children welcome, we'll have a construction playground and sand pit for them to enjoy!
